Kytek(beamsy) (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Beamsy mobile application (the “App”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Information Collection and Use
We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number. We do not require user account creation or login to use the App.
A. Local Media Files (Video, Audio, Images)
The primary function of Beamsy is to manage, convert, and cast your media. To do this, the App requires access to the media files stored on your device.
- How we use it: The App scans your device storage solely to display your media in the “Library” and “Playlist” views, and to perform video conversions or casting operations.
- Storage location: This processing happens locally on your device. We do not upload, sync, or transmit your photos, videos, or audio files to any external server or cloud storage.
B. Log Data
When you use our App, in the case of an error in the app, we may collect data and information (through third-party products like Google Play Services) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
2. App Permissions
To function correctly, Beamsy requests specific Android permissions. Here is how and why we use them:
- Read/Write External Storage (or Read Media Images/Video/Audio):
- Purpose: Required to display your video/audio library, read files for the “Converter” feature, and save the converted files back to your device.
- Access Network State & Wi-Fi State:
- Purpose: Required to detect if you are connected to Wi-Fi so the App can search for DLNA devices (TVs) to cast to.
- Nearby Devices (Bluetooth/Local Network):
- Purpose: On Android 13 and above, this permission is strictly used to discover and communicate with DLNA-compatible devices (like Smart TVs) on your local network.
3. The “Converter” Feature
When you use the built-in video converter (e.g., to fix Vorbis audio or incompatible video containers), a new file is created.
- This process is performed entirely by the CPU/GPU of your mobile device.
- The original file is not sent to the internet for conversion.
- The new file is saved locally to your device storage.
4. Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:
- To facilitate our Service (e.g., Google Play Services for core functionality).
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
We want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

5. Security
The security of your data is important to us. Since Beamsy processes your media files offline (locally), your files remain as secure as your physical device. We do not maintain a database of user content.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
